Welcome to Calculus!

As a fellow student taking Calculus this year, I thought it would be a smart idea to see what everyone else thinks of the class. Whether or not they're enjoying it, and if they look forward to the year. I understand for many it's their most difficult class, but putting that aside, what do you think of the class? Are you anticipating a good year? What do you look forward to learning in Calculus? Do you think Mr. Bearss is an awesome teacher?.....Be careful how you answer that last question!

But on a serious note, what are you looking for from this class? Are you planning on a career that involves a higher level math? Give us some of your thoughts, hopes, and concerns about Calculus.

  2. I thoroughly enjoy math, because it comes so easy to me. I look forward to learning all of the things I haven't learned in prior algebra classes. I am looking into a math major when I head to college, because I want to be an engineer. Hopefully I can get a good grasp on calculus so college will be a breeze.

  3. I am taking this class because i plan to go into the civil engineering career path. Ive looked at the required classes for civil engineering and there are a lot of calculus classes to take. I figured that having this class in high school would help make my future education a little easier. So instead of taking the easy way out with all "blow off" classes my senior year I chose to take calculus to give me a headstart for college. As for thoughts and concerns so far calculus has seemed like a pretty easy class. I just hope things dont really pick up and i get completely confused and lost. Other than that enjoying the class so far. Mr Bearss is a great math teacher!
